Privacy Policy

StowFind is designed to work as an on-device home inventory before you create an account or connect to a network. This policy explains what stays on your device, what may be sent when you choose online features, and the choices available to you.

Information stored on your device

Your item names, places, tags, quantities, notes, dates, costs, status, and related inventory structure are stored locally by default. Local backups you export are created at your request and go to the destination you choose.

Photos, when available in the app, remain on this device and in local backups unless StowFind clearly introduces and asks you to enable a separate photo-sync feature. The current cloud-sync feature does not upload photo files.

Optional account and personal cloud sync

You can use the complete on-device text inventory without an account, without a network connection, and without a paid plan. There is no free-tier limit on how many text items you may save. Personal cloud sync is separate: when account sync is offered in your region, signing in is enough—StowFind Pro is not required for personal sync.

If you choose to sign in or use personal cloud sync, StowFind may process:

• account information provided through Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or an email magic link;
• an account identifier needed to associate your private cloud inventory with you;
• the inventory records you choose to synchronize, such as item and place text data;
• device registration details needed to enforce the active-device limit (for example a device identifier, display name, and last-seen time) so you can review and remove devices from Settings;
• technical request information needed to authenticate, protect, and operate the sync service.

Personal cloud sync does not upload photo files. Cloud services are provided using Supabase. Apple and Google handle information under their own privacy policies when you use their sign-in services.

Catalog and service requests

Some optional signed-in features may request a reviewed category or icon keyword catalog. These requests can include the authentication and technical information needed to serve the catalog. StowFind does not use those requests to sell an advertising profile.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

StowFind does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. The public StowFind website does not use analytics, advertising pixels, account login, or cookies for behavioral profiling.

Retention and deletion

On-device inventory remains until you edit it, delete it, erase the app’s data, or restore a different backup. If you create an account, you can request deletion of the account and associated cloud data from the app’s Account & Sync settings. Local data is managed separately so that deleting a cloud account does not silently destroy the inventory on your device.

Security

We use platform security and access controls intended to protect account and synchronized data. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure, so you should protect access to your device and Apple Account.

Children

StowFind is a general household utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly use the app to collect information from children for advertising or profiling.

International processing

If you enable online features, service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Their legal protections may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when StowFind’s data practices change. The effective date at the top will be updated, and material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page before they apply where required.
